How does this work? Businesses in your area that would like to sell gift certificates and get more exposure will create profiles on localpinch.com. As a customer, you can read reviews of the business, write reviews, and purchase gift certificates through locapinch.com. The gift certificates that are for sale were created and are for sale by the businesses. After you make your purchase, you will have a gift certificate in your account that you can print out and bring in to the business that you purchased it from. All gift certificates have an expiration date and details/restrictions, so please make sure to pay attention to those when planning your purchase.
What if I cannot find the business that I want? Please let us know if there is a business you would like to see on localpinch.com. If you can provide contact information, a website, or other details, that would be fantastic. We will let that business know that a localpinch.com user requested they list themselves on our site.
What if the business will not honor my gift certificate? We want our customers to have a positive experience with our company, and the businesses that we partner with. If you try to redeem a valid, non-expired gift certificate at the business that sold it to you through Localpinch.com and the business does not honor the gift certificate, please contact us and we will attempt to resolve the issue.
Is your checkout secure? Are you collecting my credit card information? Our checkout is 100% secure. Our checkout process is managed by Paypal. Paypal provides us with a 100% secure way for our customers to pay with credit cards. Localpinch.com never sees your credit card information.
I have a friend that runs a such and such business and I think he/she would like to sell gift certificates through localpinch.com. What do I do? You should email your friend and tell them to set up a profile. They can also reach out to us using the contact form if they have any questions.
Do you sell escort services or adult gift certificates? No.
Do you accept returns? Not often. If you have a legitimate reason to return a localpinch.com gift certificate please let us know and we will see if we can work something out.
What about tax? Whenever you purchase a gift certificate for a business that charges sales tax, your total bill at the business will include sales tax which can be paid for with your gift certificate. When paying at a restaurant with a gift certificate, for example, tax as well as gratuity will be charged. Tax is not charged when purchasing gift certificates online, but will be charged when redeeming.
What about gratuities? Gratuities should be calculated at a restaurant, for example, using the total bill amount NOT the bill amount with the gift certificate deducted from it.
